  • Ultimate Desire

In order to dream you must be able to desire, in order to desire you must be able to dream. Dream as if you’ll live forever, Live as if you’ll die tomorrow. You may have to work for them, but anything that is easy to acquire, is not worth having. Always believe in your dreams and do it with all your might. Determination is power.

My dream is simple – Olympic Glory. The dream of standing on the Olympic podium - with a gold medal round my neck - watching the Union Flag rising, just for me.

Will this be easy to acquire? No. Will that stop me? No. This dream is worth fighting for.

This week is the start of something new for me, the realisation that there are only 4 years left until the Olympics and I am not even close to competing there. I need to stop slacking, I need to change my lifestyle, and I need to push myself through my limits.

Training will not stop once I leave the pool, Swimming is not a sport – it is a way of life. Every moment of every day, I am a swimmer. I must attack every area of my life like I would a training session. That means sleep, diet, and fluid intake.

Is this dream possible to hit? Nothing is impossible – although many think it is. Self belief is the first step to victory. I need to keep fighting for my dream, I need to always believe.

You’ve got to get up in the morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.

  • 100% ME

I am really annoyed, I have been reading through the comments on some of Arnel’s Videos on Metacafe. There is always one looser who thinks just because that guy has a better body than me he must be on roids.  Get F*@~#d. We have what many people lack - Determination and Desire to succeed in reaching our aims - and because of this we will be under the generalisation that we have cheated. These keyboard warriors are lazy and pathetic – probably can’t do a single push-up to save their life – and I for one give you the finger!

Arnel has done a fantastic job in changing the way he looked - we can all see that – and those of us undertaking this program will know that it is not easy, in fact it is the direct opposite, and it does work. So far we have seen some fantastic results, a lot of members have lost a lot of weight, getting stronger, and muscle definition is beginning to appear.

I will support Arnel against any criticism and as a group we will prove that Performance Enhancers are not needed to change. We will prove that the program works and gives results. I suggest that at the end of these 16 weeks that we allow Arnel to post our before and after pictures on his site as extra confirmation that it works.

I am a supporter of the 100% ME program (http://www.100percentme.co.uk/home.php) and am completely against using performance enhancers. Regardless to say guys – don’t be tempted to use them. It is the easy way out and your body will suffer because of them.

Keep up the good work everyone, keep working hard, and keep striving for that 6PackAbs.

  • Nearly Picture Time!

I have now completed my first session of week 4 and I think I have found my nemesis:

    Ball Push-ups.

Don’t know about everyone else but these absolutely killed me. My arms were shaking like mad and I wanted to collapse! Pushed through it though and I think I am going to feel it tomorrow morning! I am doing the advanced level for week 4 and I have to admit I was unbelievably tired by the end of the last set but I can feel it working all my muscles and i am already aching because of it.

Nearly picture time again. I will be taking them Midday Sunday so they will be posted sometime during week 5. I have been told that I am more toned and my abs are more defined (yay!) so I am looking forward to taking them.

Keep working hard through week 4, I can tell it will be a hard but worthwhile week! After this week we would have officially done a quarter of the program so we will be 25% of the way to 6 Pack Abs!

  • Pushing on

I am not sure about the rest of those doing this program but I have found week 3 a lot easier than the first 2 weeks. This has been the first time that I have finished working out to think that I could have actually done more. Should I increase the resistance? I think so, double up on bands and really work my muscles so I know that I have pushed to my limit and will get maximum results from it!

Even though I found it relatively easy I still have a dull ache running through the whole of my body – the sign of a good workout!

To really see if this program is helping my swimming I have 3 competitions coming up. One at the end of 4 weeks (so 2 weeks time) and one at the end of 8 weeks (so in 6 weeks time) there will also be one at about week 12/13 as well to look forward to.  I am expecting to decrease in times every competition due to the increase in power and strength from this program. I will keep everyone posted.

Started to watch 300 last night before swimming – that was motivation enough to train hard and at an unbelievable level. When I got out the pool I was exhausted but I felt so alive! It is an amazing feeling…I think I should watch clips from that film before every workout!

    Keep working hard guys!

  • Finally...

Week 2 is finally over for me. I am sore and in need of a nice warm shower! As i said in my last post - this week has not been the best for me so i am really looking forward to pushing forward in week 3.

I was thinking about my diet the other day - unlike most i did not change my diet before starting this program - anyway, i remembered overhearing a conversation after a training session with someone saying that Micheal Phelps has to eat 10,000 calories a day! That is insane! Thats what got me thinking, although i do not train as much - or to the intensity - as him should i be eating more? I have no idea of my calorie intake or any other intake (and before people say it i know i should and i should also be following a strict diet). This might be a task over the next week.

Been reading over others blogs and i am impressed with what i am reading - keep up the good work guys! It will all pay off in the end.
